COERR Mae Sariang Organized the Child Protection & Social Work Skills

During December 16th -17th, COERR Mae Sariang organized the Child Protection and Social Work Skills focusing on “Child Development” for camp-based staff numbering 34, covering 19 in Ban Mae Lama Luang camp and 16 in Ban Mae La Oon camp.

The techniques and skills learned from the training enabled these staff to cope with their daily work in their camps, in which many refugees are adolescents.

The training was designed to equip the trainees with skills that would support their daily child protection work: to understand child development: prenatal period; Infantry; Babyhood; Early childhood School age and Adolescent, Impact and consequence of adolescent marriage and pregnancy towards health, Developmental age evaluation, etc. The staff from both camps had the opportunity to share and exchange information and experience which should be useful and strengthen their work relations in child protection.
